A great venue for pilots and visitors.Ferrara Balloons Festival is one of the largest festivals of hot-air ballooning in Europe, with numerous teams from Italy and abroad bringing their many-coloured craft. For nine days, there will be fun and magic in the skies of Ferrara, all setting off from the Bassani Urban Park just outside the Renaissance walls of the Unesco World Heritage City.
The festival is also a grand Village of the Air with ever increasing attractions and novelties to entertain all its guests.
Visitors can feel the thrill of flight, and experience other delights linked to the air, tethered balloon flights, kite displays, parachute jumps, aeroplane flights over the city and the Po Delta, and more. Tons of sports and family fun, all revolving around these silent giants of the air: an opportunity you should jump on for a wonderful stay in Ferrara. The highlight of the event will take place on Saturday evening, when a spectacular flight of lighted balloons will colour the dark sky. A “village” with gastronomic stalls and sell of air sport equipment will also be set.
